Princeton Lightwave Adds Optical System Leadership

Cranbury, N.J., September 27, 2005

Princeton Lightwave, Inc. (PLI), a producer of near infrared high power diode lasers, infrared detectors and optical sub-systems for sensing, communications and defense, announced the appointment of Dr. Bruce Nyman as Vice President of System Solutions.

Bruce was previously with JDS Uniphase where he served in a number of management roles. He initially founded the optical amplifier group for JDS-Fitel. He then was involved in developing technology strategy for the corporation and became the Chief Technical Officer of the Instrumentation Business unit. His most recent assignment was to develop solutions for the government, aerospace and defense markets.

Bruce started his career at AT&T where he worked on the design of optical test equipment for manufacturing. In 1990 he moved to the Undersea Systems group where he developed technology for Erbium doped fiber amplifiers. He was responsible for developing optical test methods and was involved in research on soliton transmission.

Bruce joins Princeton Lightwave as Vice President of System Solutions and will lead the Company in continuing to leverage its device and optics technology base to provide its growing customer base with complete photonic solutions.
