Princeton Lightwave is offering an optional Short
Pulse Laser Source at 1310 and 1550 nm for its
Single Photon Counting Benchtop Receiver. The
Fabry-Perot laser diode is triggered to produce subnanosecond
laser pulses with a repetition rate ranging
from DC to 500 MHz. Used in combination with
a variable optical attenuator, this short-pulse laser source makes an ideal cost-effective single-photon
source. Applications include quantum optics, optical measurements and fi ber optics characterization.
