The Princeton Lightwave PGA-600 Photon Counting Benchtop Receiver is
a complete solution for single photon counting applications. The receiver
integrates an InGaAs Single Photon Avalanche Photodiode (SPAD) with all the
necessary bias and control electronics. The SPAD has been specially designed
for single photon counting to provide high detection efficiency and low dark
count rate. The unit’s electronics utilize a patented technique to improve
system performance. The unit supports internal and external triggering for
synchronization with external equipment. The front panel displays the number
of avalanches detected in a selected time interval as well as control and
diagnostic information. All operating parameters and detection counts can
also be accessed through the built-in RS-232 interface. The receiver is
provided in a 3U 19” rack mount chassis.
