Monitoring of DWDM signals in Optical Networks
Transmission of data on next generation Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed (DWDM) networks requires fast, accurate, reliable, measurement of critical
parameters of the laser signals transmitted. These parameters include channel
power, wavelength, and optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR). Princeton
Lightwave’s Optical Channel Monitor (OCM) product line offers state of the
art solution to these problems.
It integrates passive and active optical
components such as a blazed fiber Bragg grating and a 512 pixel InGaAs detector
array in a subsystem that is ready to use by Customers with the help of
proprietary firmware capabilities.
